Faisal Farooqui, founder of online consumer review portal Mouthshut, makes sure that his taste in food extends to his employees as well. Farooqui takes a personal interest in helping the office canteen chefs decide on the breakfast, lunch and evening menu and has even started a no-sugar campaign in his offices. "The idea was to give employees something beyond laptops and other such amenities and still significantly impact their lives," he says.
Farooqui's wife helped train the kitchen staff when they started the meal program over a decade ago. In fact, he continues to send samples of dishes from the canteen over to his home for his wife's approval. "We have both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes as part of our lunch menu since 2006," says Farooqui, adding that his favourites from the canteen menu are paneer tandoori masala, dal ghosht and mutton biryani.
