Apple Watch Series 6
As the world is still struggling to beat Covid, the Watch Series 6 brings health on your wrist. Apart from ECG, fitness tracking and heart-rate monitor, the device will measure the user's blood oxygen level with a sensor and app. With an watchOS7 update, new features like handwashing timer and sleep tracker will also come to the smartwatch, as well as the previous editions.

The new blood oxygen sensor is a combination of four LED clusters and four photodiodes. Incorporated into the completely redesigned back crystal, the sensor works with the Blood Oxygen app to determine your blood oxygen level.

Colours like green and red infrared LEDs shine onto the blood vessels in your wrist, and photodiodes measure the amount of light reflected back. Apple's advanced algorithms then calculate the colour of your blood, which indicates the amount of oxygen present.
