Bajaj Finserv Q4 profit jumps 32% YoY to Rs 839 crore, total income up 44%

Bajaj Finserv on Thursday reported a 31.66 per cent year-on-year rise in consolidated profit at Rs 838.74 crore for the quarter ended March 31. The NBFC had posted a net of Rs 637.03 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Total income jumped 44 per cent to Rs 12,995 crore during the quarter under review.

The board of the company also recommended a dividend of Rs 2.50 per equity share.


Bajaj Finserv is the holding company for various financial services businesses under the Bajaj group.

The firm is engaged in the financing business through its 54.99 per cent holding in Bajaj Finance and in the protection business through its 74 per cent holding in two unlisted subsidiaries, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company (BAGIC) and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance (BALIC).

Profit of general insurance and life insurance business declined to Rs 83 crore and 112 crore, respectively, in Q4FY19 over Rs 187 crore and Rs 171 crore, respectively, in the same quarter last year.

Earlier in the day, its subsidiary Bajaj Finance reported a 57 per cent year-on-year (YoY) jump in consolidated profit at Rs 1,176 crore compared with Rs 748 crore in the same quarter last year.
