NEW DELHI: Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange were trading 24 points, or 0.20 per cent, higher at 11,736.50, indicating a positive start for the Nifty50. Here are a few stocks which may buzz the most in today’s trade:

Wipro: The IT firm has lost SAP maintenance project from Nike after it delayed implementing the business software for the sports shoe and apparel maker, two people familiar with the matter said, with one analyst pegging the deal size at between “$10 million and $40 million”.

Reliance Industries: The company said its subsidiary Reliance Jio Digital has acquired a majority stake in Mumbaibased Artificial Intelligence-based conversational platform Haptik for Rs 700 crore.


Indiabulls Housing Finance: The HFC said it has raised Rs 17,300 crore in the March quarter of 2018-19 and plans to borrow Rs 26,000 crore in the current financial year.

Bajaj Finance: Five large NBFCs including Bajaj Finance and Piramal Capital Housing Finance, plan to raise up to $2.5 billion in maiden dollar-bond sales as they diversify financing base and cut reliance on local funds.

Banking, auto, real estate stocks: The six-member Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is likely to cut short-term policy rate by 25 basis points in its first bimonthly review of FY20 on Thursday.

Godrej Properties: Realty firm Godrej Properties said it has entered into a joint venture (JV) with a developer to construct luxury housing project in Mumbai.

Gujarat Gas: The company received grant of authorization for gas distribution networks in districts such as Sirsa, Fatehabad, Ujjain, Indore, Dewas and Mansa.

Jet Airways: The airline won’t be able to operate beyond April if it doesn’t get the entire promised debt funding of Rs 1,500 crore from its lenders in a week, its top management has estimated internally, said a person aware of the development.

Coffee Day Enterprises: The company has approved the investment in the newly incorporated 100% subsidiary - Coffee Day Consultancy Services. The investment will be done by the company and its material subsidiary Coffee Day

Godrej Agrovet: The company has acquired additional 10.91 per cent of the paid-up equity share capital of Godrej Maxximilk, subsidiary company.

Vedanta: Parent Vedanta Resources said mined metal production during 2018-19 fell to 936,000 tonnes as against 947,000 tonnes in the year ago period.

Bharti Airtel: The telecom operator announced the launch of its e-book services which will be offered to subscribers through mobile app Airtel Books.

NTPC: State-owned power giant NTPC said its Vindhyachal Thermal Power Station generated record 37,538.97 million units (MUs) in 2018-19.

IPO WATCH
Metropolis IPO: The diagnostics company has raised Rs 530 crore on Tuesday by allotting 60.24 lakh shares to 26 anchor investors at 880 per share. The 1,200-crore offer, which will run from April 3 to 5, consists of about 15.3 million shares.

Analyst calls
• Emkay has reiterated its buy rating on Navin Fluorine International with a target price ₹922. After the commencement of cGMP-3 plant, NFIL’s overall CRAMs capacity will be doubled. Given that it is a high-margin segment, the pick-up in cGMP-3 should provide a significant boost to profits and return ratios, according to the brokerage.

• Sharekhan has maintained its buy rating on Petronet LNG with a target price of Rs 270. We remain confident on earnings visibility along with healthy return on equity of about 21%, said the brokerage. At the current market price, the stock is trading at 14.9 times its FY20 estimated EPS and 13.3 times its FY21E EPS.

• CLSA has maintained a buy rating on Marico with Rs 465 target price citing positive commentary at a time of slowdown worries. Marico’s pre-quarter commentary is a positive one. In addition, we are positive on the stock as there is higher confidence on margin expansion in FY20 at a time when this is uncertain for most of its peers, said the brokerage.
