Covid-19 cases on a rise in India
The total number of confirmed Coronavirus cases have now gone up to 73 in India, according to the Union Health Ministry data till 11 AM, March 12, 2020. Of the total number of confirmed cases, 56 are Indians and rest are foreign nationals, as per the ministry. A total of 10,57,506 have been screened in India so far.

To provide proper treatment to those detected with the virus, the health ministry has designated 52 testing sites across India.

57 Laboratories have also been set up for helping in sample collection for COVID-19.
Who should consider for the test?
Following people should be considered for COVID-19 testing:
- 1. People having symptoms - fever, sore throat, running nose, dyspnea, etc
- 2. Individuals who returned from affected countries - China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Iran, Italy etc.
- 3. Close contacts of confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 infection.
- 4. All individuals evacuated and quarantined from Wuhan, China and Diamond Princess ship, Japan
